"The sounds and colors of Cuban history stories of humor and love found in everyday life." The Birmingham Mail
A euphoric show full of uplifting music and inspirational joy, the Creole Choir of Cuba are descendants of Haitians who made the journey from one island to the other. With vibrant dancing and spectacular harmonies, they perform music that has been passed down through the generations. This 10-member group mingles modern Cuban and Haitian sounds, shifting Caribbean rhythms, and an original root bass sound, resulting in a performance that is emotional, impassioned, and fun for the whole family.
These activities are supported, in part, with finds provided by the Western States Arts Federation (WESTAF), the California Arts Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
