David Orr

Featured as the kick-off keynote speaker at the annual This Way to Sustainability Conference III, environmental advocate and author David Orr is well known for his work on environmental literacy in higher education. Orr's recent work in ecological design resulted in the creation of the Environmental Studies Center at Oberlin College, a building described by the U.S. Department of Energy as one of thirty "milestone buildings" of the 20th century. Orr's lecture is sponsored by The Institute for Sustainable Development and Chico Performances.
