The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra's 15 jazz soloists, along with trumpeter and musical director Wynton Marsalis, draw from a repertoire that includes original compositions and masterworks by Ellington, Mingus, Coltrane, and others. An extraordinarily versatile orchestra, the JLCO has been called "the greatest large jazz ensemble working today" by the Chicago Tribune. Marsalis, a driving force behind the Orchestra, is a nine-time Grammy Award winner.
