In a magical kingdom below the sea, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home. But first, she'll have to defy her father King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula, and convince Prince Eric that she's the girl who saved him from shipwreck. Featuring the musical hits "Under the Sea" and "Part of Your World," this musical performed by kids for kids is a great family night out.

This performance is sponsored by Enloe Medical Center's Planetree patient-centered care program, is performed by Playhouse Youth Theatre, and is presented through special arrangement with Musical Theatre International.



In hopes of furthering mind, body and spirit wellness though its Planetree patient-centered care program, Enloe Medical Center has teamed up with Chico Performances to bring Playhouse's version of The Little Mermaid Jr. to the Chico community.

This is the sixth year Chico Performances and Enloe Medical Center have partnered to bring live entertainment to the Chico area. Prior to their performance in Laxson Auditorium the young performers of The Little Mermaid Jr. will perform for elementary school students during two field trips, as well as appearing at Enloe Medical Center, where they will sing for patients and staff.

"It’s just so great that we can help bring live performance to our patients and staff, as well so local students," said Traci Hunt, Planetree Coordinator for Enloe Medical Center. "It is through events like these that we and Chico Performances can learn and grow with the community."

This performance is supported, in part, by Enloe Medical Center, reflecting the Planetree philosophy that the arts and community are important aspects of a healing environment for everyone.
