"Rousing infectiously enthusiastic performances by fine dancers." The New York Times
Showcasing the Afro-American point of view, the Lula Washington Dance Theater tells tales using tap, jazz, ballet, modern dance, and hip-hop. Wildly energetic and thoroughly dedicated, these dancers utilize eye-catching costumes to accent their stories. Recognized as the premier African-American dance ensemble in the world, they are widely known for their work in Avatar and The Little Mermaid.
This engagement is sponsored, in part, by the James Irvine Foundation.
