"All hail the new Johnny Cash . . . Steve Earle."
Q Magazine

"Allison Moorer is a stunning shot of muscular, melodic rock." Billboard Magazine

Steve Earle's lyrics, dirty guitar sounds, and backwards solos can be heard on several albums, representing an extraordinary catalogue of songwriting which compares favorably with such esteemed heroes as Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, and Bob Dylan. In 1994 he teamed with Allison Moorer, an Alabama born-and-bred singer/songwriter. Together they write, play, and perform a version of country folk rock that is deeply personal — and cutting edge.

Steve Earle's contribution to the merging of progressive country to the wider rock audience is huge. Indeed, there is every reason to believe that the entire genre of "alternate Country" would not exist without Earle's ground-breaking extension of what used to be called "folk-rock." His cutting edge lyrics, big drums, and inventive guitar licks can be heard on several albums, representing a deeply personal music. Steve met his wife Allison Moorer when she teamed up with him as the opening act on his 1994 tour. Now they play, produce, write and perform music that is topping the country and R&B charts, and tour the country with their intensely personal and entertaining performances.
