In March 2015, as part of their first annual Dance Chico! Festival (March 22-28, 2015) Chico Performances partnered with The Joe Goode Performance Group to do a weeklong residency, which culminated in a performance. The residency involved five members of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at CSU, Chico, who told their stories of “resilience” to choreographer Joe Goode, who then transcribed them into a workshop performance titled Resilient. Resilient was performed in front of an invitation only audience consisting of more than 300 seniors from both OLLI and the local community on March 25 in the Harlen Adams Theatre.
This residency was documented in a 13 minute “mini-documentary” which is viewable here.
