  • On Sept. 19 & 20 the daytime performances and events are FREE and open to the public, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
  • Tickets to the Friday evening performance at Laxson Auditorium featuring Jazz at Lincoln Center with Wynton Marsalis are $40–$55, and are available at the University Box Office at the corner of 2nd St. and Normal Ave., by calling 898-6333, or clicking here.

  • FREE CRAFTS FOR KIDS Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. under the magnolia tree in front of Laxson Auditorium. Hosted by the Museum of Anthropology at CSU, Chico.

  • FREE STUDENT ART SHOW Featuring artwork by the students of the Chico Unified School District and Notre Dame School.

    Wynton Marsalis

    Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis

    The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra's 15 jazz soloists, along with trumpeter and musical director Wynton Marsalis, draw from a repertoire that includes original compositions and masterworks by Ellington, Mingus, and Coltrane, and others. An extraordinarily versatile orchestra, the JLCO has been called "the greatest large jazz ensemble working today" by the Chicago Tribune. Marsalis, a driving force behind the Orchestra, is a nine-time Grammy Award winner.

    Tickets are required for this performance in Laxson Auditorium, range from $40–$55 and are available at the University Box Office 898-6333.
