Mission Statement
The primary mission of the University Staff Development Program at California State University, Chico is to support the campus Strategic Plan of the Future, specifically relating to Strategic Priority #2:
Believing in the importance of faculty and staff and their role in student success, we will continue to invest in faculty and staff development.
In the fall of 1995, a University Staff Development Program committee was formed to begin the process of analysis and needs assessment for Staff Development. As a result, in February 1997 our Staff Development Program was established. It completed five very successful years, prior to the budget deficits. After a brief pause in the program, we are pleased to announce “our” program is once again up and running on campus. Our ongoing goal is to:
- increase productivity in the workplace;
- enhance job satisfaction;
- increase staff morale for our employees; and,
- minimize the risk and liability in the workplace.
The University Staff Development Program at California State University , Chico will coordinate a variety of training opportunities on campus for all staff and provide funding for on- and off-campus workshops. There are numerous trainings currently available for staff. Please access current information on trainings at the CSU, Chico Web Based Training site.
