Personal Information
I've been working here over 22 years. I graduated from here. I ran the first network on this campus in Siskiyou Hall with Dale Stevenson for the computer science department back when everyone was still using terminals via serial connections. Hewlett-Packard donated all the workstations for the network. I think it was 1985. It was thick ethernet using 'vampire' connectors.
I oversaw the implementation of the automated student email account creation in the college of engineering, computer science and technology using id cards when the campus was still using the oavax for staff and faculty email. Mike Morgan and Jim Garlick were the unix wizards who got it all working. Our small staff provided email account support to the entire student population before the university took it over in the early nineties.
