Beginning, October 3rd – the next time you change your Exchange password, your Portal password will be updated as well. This means you will have one username and password to access the majority of campus systems. More...

 

A CSU Chico Faculty or Staff member has access to many different resources in order to accomplish their daily responsibilities. Listed below are description of some of the accounts.

Password Station

As of October 3rd, 2006, faculty and staff will begin enrolling in the Password Station to make password changes to their Exchange e-mail accounts. Password station combines both the Wildcat and Exchange systems onto one username and password..

Exchange/Outlook

Microsoft Exchange E-mail. This is the primary E-mail account for faculty and staff that integrates electronic mail and scheduling. E-mail accounts have the ending of '@csuchico.edu'. More...

Domain

Used to login to campus computers and servers. Essentially the same as your Exchange account, but it is possible to have a Domain only account for computer access without an Exchange mailbox. More...

Wildcat

Wildcat is an account that is used for many different services on campus: Wildcat E-mail, Web, Portal, Modem and Admin Billing. Wildcat E-mail addresses end with '@mail.csuchico.edu. More...

Portal

The Chico State Connection portal provides students, faculty, and staff with convenient online services. This personalized secure site allows you to access E-mail, WebCT and Grading. More...

Web Publishing

Access to your personal or departmental web pages is controlled using your Portal username and password. More...

Remote Access

Dial-up modem and Wireless access is available to current and retired faculty and staff via Wildcat Connection. Accounts can be obtained from the office of Communications Network Services (CNS) We have Dial-up instructions here.

IT Training

Information Resources offers Information Technology training for faculty and staff. Courses encompass desktop systems and applications, WWW usage and development, electronic resources, University-supported software applications, campus-specific databases, and Instructional Technology. Classes are either seminar or hands-on and typically last from one to two hours. You can get more information and create your training account at the IT Training webpage.

Admin Billing

Admin billing is a system that will allow you to check the phone billing charges for your department. To get access to Admin Billing, call x6868. Once you have been added to the system, you can access Admin Billing using your Wildcat Account.

WebCT Vista

WebCT Vista is a new online environment replacing the older WebCT system that facilitates the creation and administration of Web-based courses. More...

ECST E-mail/Web

The Engineering, Computer Science and Technology department offers e-mail accounts and web server space to its faculty and students.  For help with this account contact the ECST Help Desk at 898-4950 or visit their web site at http://www.ecst.csuchico.edu
