Before setting up Entourage you will need to check your network settings. You can do this by going to your Apple menu, opening System Preferences , and clicking on the “Network” icon. You will need to go to your “TCP/IP” settings and add www.csuchico.edu into the “Search Domains” field.

 

Step 1: Open Entourage by clicking on the large “E” in your Doc. If the Entourage icon is not in the Doc you can open Entourage by opening you Hard Drive, going to “Applications”, expanding “Microsoft Office 2004” and click on “Entourage.”

Step 2: If Entourage opens with a pop-up window to create your account close that window and continue. Next, go to the “Tools” menu and click on “Accounts.”

Step 3: Click on the “Exchange” tab so it is highlighted blue then click on “Add”

Step 4: Fill out the information in the “Account Setup Assistant.” Your email address should be your user id @csuchico.edu. The domain is Chico and your password will be your password for your exchange mail. Next, click on “Configure account manually.”

Step 5: This will bring you to the “Edit Account” screen. Make sure “Account Settings is highlighted blue then fill out the information as shown below. Your exchange server is walnut .

Step 6: Click on the “Directory” tab so it is highlighted blue then type in yew as your LDAP Server. Then click on “OK” to begin synchronizing with the exchange server.

Step 7: A message will come up that will let you know that Entourage will be synchronizing in the background just click on “OK.”

Step 8: You will then see your account in the Folder List on the left side of your Entourage window. Expand this by clicking on the down arrow and you will see your mail folders.
