Entourage 2004 for Mac Version 11.1.0

IMAP

  Before setting up Entourage you will need to check your network settings. You can do this by going to your Apple menu, opening System Preferences , and clicking on the “Network” icon. You will need to go to your “TCP/IP” settings and add www.csuchico.edu into the “Search Domains” field.

Step 1: Open Entourage by clicking on the large “E” in your Doc. If the Entourage icon is not in the Doc you can open Entourage by opening you Hard Drive, going to “Applications”, expanding “Microsoft Office 2004” and click on “Entourage.”

Step 2: If Entourage opens with a pop-up window to create your account close that window and continue. Next, go to the “Tools” menu and click on “Accounts.”

Step 3: Click on the “Mail” tab so it is highlighted blue then click on “New”

Step 4: When the “New Account” window opens change your Account type to IMAP by using the drop down arrows, then click ok.

Step 5: The “Edit Account” window will open and you will need to fill out the information in the account settings as shown below.

**The SMPT server is different depending on who your Internet Service Provider (ISP) is. If you have campus dialup use the same server as the IMAP server. If not, see below for a list of common ISPs and their SMPT servers.

Step 6: Click “Ok” and your IMAP account is set up, you should see it in Entourage in the Folder List on the left hand side.
