Spam Assassin Documentation for Outlook 2000
The new mail exchanger checks for SPAM and assigns one of two values to each message in the header:
spam: spamspam: not spam
You can create an inbox filter to catch messages marked as SPAM. To do this follow the documentation below:
* If you do not already have a Junk E-mail folder created in Outlook, follow these instructions: Go to Outlook Web Access and log in using your Outlook user name and password. Once you log in, A new folder will appear in your folder list titled "Junk E-mail". If you need instructions for logging into Outlook Web Access, go here. Close Outlook Web Access when you are done.
Step 1: Go to the tools menu within Outlook. From there you will want to
click on the “Rules Wizard”

Step 2: Once the “Rules Wizard” opens, you will want to click on “New.”
Step 3: Make sure check messages as they arrive is highlighted then click on “Next.”

Step 4: Check the box next to with specific rules in message header. Then
click on specific words under Rule Description.
Step 5: A box will pop up once you click on specific words, in this box you will need to type “SpamCheck: spam” (minus the quotes) then click ok. This will return you to the “Rules Wizard,” once there click on “Next.”

Step 6: Check the box next to move it to the specified folder, then click on where it says specified under the Rule Description.

Step 7: Pick your Junk E-mail Folder from the list of folders then click “ok.” Once it returns to the “Rules Wizard” click on next.

Step 8: Make sure “Turn on this rule” is checked then click “Finish.”
