Minimum Hardware Specifications
The following specifications have been determined to be the minimally acceptable levels for computing and printing hardware at CSU Chico for the academic year 2006/2007. Anything we are asked to service below these levels (both hardware and operating system) will be serviced and supported on a time and materials basis, and will require a CAF.
These specifications are effective July 1, 2007.

User Services ability to provide troubleshooting and repair services for legacy models of Laser Printers depends upon parts availability. Non-Charged Department: No charge for service or repair due to malfunction during warranty period. Time and materials charges apply after warranty expiration. Important Out of Warranty Repair Information:
Non-charged departments:
Parts and materials charges apply for all out of warranty supported Gateway, Dell and Apple desktops. Labor charges do not apply this fiscal year.
Charged departments:
Are charged for all time and materials, whether the equipment is supported or unsupported, in warranty our out.
Unsupported Hardware:
All repairs/troubleshooting/service on unsupported desktop computers regardless of warranty status will continue to incur time and materials charges for any User Services work performed for all departments--state, grant-funded, AS, auxiliary, and foundation.
