1.Go to the Apple menu and select System Preferences
2. Select the Screen Effects Pane
3. Select the Activation tab and check the “Use my user account password” option
4. Quit System Preferences

1. Go to the Apple menu and select System Preferences
2. Select the Security Pane
3. Check the option “Require password to wake this computer from sleep
or screen saver
4. Quit System Preferences
