SPSS 15 Installation
PC
Step 1: Access Install Files
Open the "Start" menu and select "Run." Type in the following address and then click ok: \\usrv-aspen\PC\SPSS
Double click the "Standalone" folder, and then the "SPSS 15" folder.
Step 2: Run Installer
Once in the SPSS install directory, double-click the icon "setup.exe".
Select "Install SPSS" from the menu.
Step 3: Choose license type
Select "Site License" and click next.
Step 4:Accept License
Select "I accept the terms of the License Agreement" and click next. Click next again to move past the Readme.
Step 5: Customer Information
Enter in your name or department, the organization, and the serial number. The serial number is available here (this link is only available on campus or through a campus VPN connection).
Step 6: Installation location and Install.
Click "Next" to accept the default location. Then click "Install" to begin installing SPSS.
Step 7:
If you have a previous version of SPSS on your machine you will be prompted that the Installer will remove old version. Click OK.
After the installation finishes, you will be prompted to License and register SPSS. Select "Get a License Now" and uncheck "Register with spss."
Step 8:
Click "Start" to begin the authorization wizard.
Select "Use authorization via internet" and click next."
Enter the previously used liscense code for the "authorization code."
After the authorization completes, click "Finish" to exit the SPSS installer.
Step 9: Update SPSS
Double click on the file "SPSS15.0.1EN-patch.exe in the installation directory. (If you closed the folder, repeat step 1 above)
When prompted, press "Next" to continue with the installation.
When the installer asks for an installation location, press ok to accept the default install location.
Click "Continue" to begin the update.
Click "Finish" to complete updating SPSS.
