October 1-November 30, 2005 Priority undergraduate application filing period for fall 2006 admission. Applicants to "impacted" majors must apply during this period.
December 15, 2005 Last day to apply for a bachelor's degree expected in December 2006.
January 1-March 2, 2006 Priority filing period for 2006/2007 financial aid applications.
February 1, 2006 Last day to apply for 2006/2007 scholarships.
March 1, 2006

Graduate and Credential Programs application deadline for fall 2006 admission.

April 7 Last day to file an appeal for academic reinstatement for fall 2006.

April 10-July 21

Advising & Registration for all students. See The Class Schedule for instructions.

June 6- July 21 Orientation programs and academic advising for new students.
July 22-26 Open Registration for All Students..
July 26 Registration Deadline for Fall 2006.
July 27 Registration Fee Payment Deadline. Students who fail to pay fees or have sufficient anticipated financial aid to pay fees by this date will be assessed a late fee and may lose all of their 2006 Fall classes.
July 31-September 1 Registration Add/Drop Period. Your must have paid fees or have sufficient anticipated financial aid to pay fees to add classes.
August 15-20 Orientation Activity for new students - Getting Connected.
August 17 Academic year begins; all faculty on duty.
August 20 Last day to drop all classes to receive a full refund (less an administrative fee).
August 21 Fall Classes Begin.
August 21 Classes dropped on or after this date (but by October 25) will be eligible for a pro-rata refund of registration fees and non-resident tuition.
September 1 Last day to add or drop classes without special permission of instructor. Students need a serious and compelling reason to add and drop classes after this date, and must use the COP process. Last day to drop classes (if remaining enrolled) to receive financial credit.
September 4 Labor Day -- campus closed.
September 15 Census Date -- no adding, dropping of classes, or changing of grade option beyond this date without a serious and compelling reason approved by the instructor, department chair, and college dean.
September 15 Deadline for master’s degree students who are not regularly enrolled to register for adjunct enrollment. Last day for Open University students to pay fees without late charge. Last day to apply for a master’s degree expected in December 2006.
September 25 A late fee for each submission of a Change of Program (COP) form begins.
October 12 Last day to submit undergraduate Special Major application to be effective fall 2006.
October 13 Last day to apply without a late charge for a California teaching credentail expected in December 2006.
October 25 Withdrawals after this date will not receive any financial credit for refund.
November 10 Veteran's Day observed -- no classes held.
November 20-24 Thanksgiving vacation -- no classes held.
November 27-December 15 Dropping classes permitted only because of serious illness or accident and with the approval of the college dean.
November 27 Last day for master's degree candidates to take oral/comprehensive examination, submit thesis/terminal project, and submit final progress sheet to Graduate Programs.
December 11-15 Final Exam Week -- see Final Examination Schedule in The Class Schedule.
December 11-January 3, 2007 Fall semester grades due in Student Records and Registration Office. Deadline is noon, January 3.
December 18-January 1, 2007 Winter vacation -- campus closed.
December 31 Fall 2006 semester ends. Official fall semester graduation date.
