May 15, 2007 Last day to apply for a bachelor's degree expected in May 2008.
August 1-31, 2007 Priority undergraduate application filing period for spring 2008 admission. Applicants to "impacted" majors must apply this month.
September 15, 2007 Graduate and Credential Programs application deadline for spring 2008 admission.
September 21, 2007 Last day to file an appeal for academic reinstatement for spring 2008.
October 15-December 7, 2007 Registration (Priority), check the Class Schedule for registration begin/end dates.
December 7, 2007 Registration (Priority) Deadline for Jan. and spring.
December 12, 2007 This is the last day for EFT Authorization if it hasn't been done yet.
December 13, 2007 Registration Fee Payment Deadline. Students who fail to pay fees or do not have sufficient financial aid to pay fees will be assessed a late fee, will not be able to add classes during Registration Add/Drop Period, and may have classes dropped for non-payment.
January 7-February 8, 2008 Registration Add/Drop Period. Your must have paid fees or have sufficient anticipated financial aid to pay fees to add classes.
January 23-25 Orientation Activity for new students - Getting Connected.
January 24 Spring semester begins; all faculty on duty.
Financial Aid Refunds. First financial aid refunds disbursed by Electronic Funds Transfer or mail to students who have met all processing requirements and who have a credit balance after total charges are paid.
January 27 Last day to drop classes to receive a full refund (less an administrative fee).
January 28 Spring Classes Begin.
January 28 Term withdrawal on or after this date (but by April 9) will be eligible for a pro-rata refund of registration fees and non-resident tuition.
February 8 Last day to add or drop classes without special permission of instructor. Students will need a serious and compelling reason to add and drop classes after this date, and must use the COP process. Las day to drop classes (if remaining enrolled) to receive financial credit.
February 22 Census Date -- no adding, dropping of classes, or changing of grade option beyond this date without a serious and compelling reason approved by the instructor, department chair, and college dean.
February 22

Deadline for master’s degree students who are not regularly enrolled to register for adjunct enrollment. Last day for Open University students to pay fees without late charge. Last day to apply for a master’s degree expected in May 2008.

March 3 A late fee for each submission of a Change of Program (COP) form begins.
March 14 Last day to submit undergraduate Special Major application to be effective spring 2008.
March 17-21 Spring vacation -- no classes held.
March 31 César Chávez Day -- campus closed.
April 9 Withdrawal after this date will not recieve any financial credit for refund.
April 18 Last day to apply without a late charge for a California teaching credential expected in May or August 2008.
April 25 Last day for master's degree candidates to take oral/comprehensive examination, submit thesis/terminal project, and submit final progress sheet to Graduate Programs.
May 5-23 Dropping classes permitted only because of serious illness or accident and with the approval of the college dean.
May 19-23 Final Exam Week -- see Final Examination Schedule in the Class Schedule.
May 19-30 Spring semester grades due in Student Records and Registration Office. Deadline is noon, May 30.
May 24-25 Commencement.
May 26 Memorial Day -- campus closed.
May 31 Spring 2008 semester and academic year ends. Official spring semester graduation date.
