| May 15, 2010 | Last day to apply for a bachelor's degree expected in May 2011. |
| August 1-31, 2010 | Priority Undergraduate Application Filing Period for spring 2011 admission. Applicants to "impacted" majors must apply this month. |
| September 15, 2010 | Graduate and Credential Programs application deadline for spring 2011 admission. |
| September 17, 2010 | Last day to file an appeal for academic reinstatement for spring 2011. |
| October 18-December 3, 2010 | Registration (Priority), check the Class Schedule for registration begin/end dates. |
| December 3, 2010 | Registration (Priority) Deadline for Jan. and spring. |
| December 9, 2010 | Registration Fee Payment Deadline.Students who fail to pay fees or do not have sufficient financial aid to pay fees will be assessed a late fee, will not be able to add classes during Registration Add/Drop Period, and may have classes dropped for non-payment. Dec 8 last day for EFT Authorization if it has not been done yet. |
| January 3-February 4, 2011 | Registration Add/Drop Period. You must have paid fees or have sufficient anticipated financial aid to pay fees to add classes. |
| January 20-21 | Orientation Activity for new students - Getting Connected. |
| January 20 | Spring semester begins; all faculty on duty. Financial Aid Refunds. First financial aid refunds disbursed by Electronic Funds Transfer or mail to students who have met all processing requirements and who have a credit balance after total charges are paid. |
| January 23 | Last day to drop classes to receive a full refund (less an administrative fee). |
| January 24 | Spring Classes Begin. |
| January 24 | Term withdrawal on or after this date (but by April 6) will be eligible for a pro-rata refund of registration fees and non-resident tuition. |
| February 4 | Last day to add or drop classes without special permission of instructor. Students will need a serious and compelling reason to add and drop classes after this date, and must use the COP process. Last day to drop classes (if remaining enrolled) to receive financial credit. |
| February 18 | Census Date -- no adding, dropping of classes, or changing of grade
option beyond this date without a serious and compelling reason approved
by the instructor, department chair, and college dean. Deadline for master’s degree students who are not regularly enrolled to register for adjunct enrollment. Last day for Open University students to pay fees without late charge. Last day to apply for a master’s degree expected in May 2011. |
| March 11 | A late fee for each submission of a Change of Program (COP) form begins. |
| March 12 | Last day to submit undergraduate Special Major application to be effective spring 2011. |
| March 14-18 | Spring vacation -- no classes held. |
| March 31 | César Chávez Day -- campus closed. |
| April 6 | Withdrawal after this date will not recieve any financial credit for refund. |
| April 15 | Last day to apply without a late charge for a California teaching credential expected in May or August 2011. |
| April 22 | Last day for master's degree candidates to take oral/comprehensive examination, submit thesis/terminal project, and submit final progress sheet to Graduate Studies. |
| May 2-20 | Dropping classes permitted only because of serious illness or accident and with the approval of the college dean. |
| May 16-20 | Final Exam Week -- see Final Examination Schedule in the Class Schedule. |
| May 16-31 | Spring semester grades due in Student Records and Registration Office. Deadline is noon, May 31. |
| May 19-22 | Commencement. |
| May 30 | Memorial Day -- campus closed. |
| May 31 | Spring 2011 semester and academic year ends. Official spring semester graduation date. |
