Welcome to the Office of the Vice Provost for Planning, Resource Allocation and Evaluation at California State University, Chico. Our office provides analytical and developmental support for planning, resource allocation, and performance measurement activities within Academic Affairs and within the University.
Planning provides a forum for discussing, analyzing, rationalizing, communicating, and implementing strategic decisions and offers means for administering their implementation. We serve as analysts, catalysts, and finders of strategies that bring greater intentionality to the alignment of our vision and values with our actions.
Our resource base is built upon a four-pillar platform of state support, fair student fees, private support, and wise stewardship of all our resources. We recognize that we are accountable for the stewardship of this funding and support. We strive to allocate resources in terms of clearly articulated priorities for the University and for the division of Academic Affairs. The budget is the tool that directs attention and resources to critical and strategic initiatives.
Colleges and universities are increasingly asked to demonstrate their value and their effectiveness. Our office is charged with the responsibility of coordinating the design and implementation of institutional effectiveness measurement and accountability management systems that support the CSU, Chico Strategic Plan for the Future.
Academic Facilities maintains current information on classroom and office management, inventory, and projects.
At the institutional level, CSU, Chico is accredited by the Senior College Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), one of six regional associations that accredit public and private schools, colleges, and universities in the United States.
