The institution has a chief executive whose full-time responsibility is to the institution, together with a cadre of administrators qualified and able to provide
effective education al leadership and management at all levels.
The president of the California State University, Chico has numerous responsibilities as the chief executive officer of the institution, as the primary liaison between the university and the
greater community, and as the public 'face' of the university. The president maintains a close working relationship with the CSU's systemwide office, reporting to the chancellor and
representing the campus on the systemwide Executive Council.
