Chico State leads in sustainability efforts. Chico State beat local water conservation requirements by 11 percent in summer 2015. The campus used 43 percent less water than in summer 2013. Facilities managers cut back on lawn irrigation and replaced restroom fixtures with water-friendly versions, and installed a bioswale among other efforts. Did you know our campus arboretum has over 1,000 trees? Maintaining the beautiful grounds in a sustainable manner is among the many ways we keep our campus green.
