Participate in a Virtual Professional Immersion!
On behalf of California State University, Chico we would like to extend an invitation for you to participate with our students in a Virtual Professional Immersion (VPI) experience.
As the only bachelor of science program of its kind in the country, one of the major goals for the Instructional Technology program at California, State University, Chico, is to provide students with opportunities to connect with professionals. These professionals typically come from the field of Instructional Technology and Design, Human Performance Improvement and Training.
Our students have a wide range of knowledge, skills and abilities that are extremely relevant and valued in the corporate workplace. We would like to experience how you solve problems in the workplace for the purpose of bridging theory with application. In addition the VPI experience provides our students with opportunities to discuss and examine alternative problem solving strategies.
Through your participation you will be able to interact with our senior seminar students for the purpose of building a relationship with students who will be shortly entering the workforce as new problem solving professionals. The VPI involvement protocol has already been designed, developed and implemented, and you can easily become involved and part of one of our class sessions.
Please take a moment to answer the following 3 questions:
- Would you be willing to participate in a VPI experience online via phone, email and/or telephone conferencing?
- What would you expect from this experience?
- Which particular skills and/or knowledge topics would you be interested in exploring during a VPI session?
PLEASE E-MAIL YOUR RESPONSES WITH YOUR NAME & PHONE NUMBER
TO: jroussell@csuchico.edu
THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST
