Support

Where does the money comes from?

Chico State Women's Rugby is a campus club sport. That means that the school recognizes the club, and helps with minimal team funding with Instructionally Related Activty funds and Foundation funds. However, since the team competes at such a high level of play, the funding the school provides does not even cover the team's pre-season costs.

The rest of the financial responsibility falls on the club members. To cover these costs, members each pay dues and work to fundraise. Right now the team is looking forward at the possibility of going to 'Sweet Sixteens' again this year, which will be held in Albuquerque, NM. Last year the trip cost the team over $16,000 dollars and they are woking to raise that much support for this year's trip.

Fundraising

The team holds many fundraisers throughout the year. We invite anyone who is interested in supporting Chico State Women's Rugby to attend. The scheduled fundraisers for the 2007-2008 season will be posted as soon as they are planned. Some fundraisers done in the past include:

Sponsor a Rugger

The team is interested in setting up a program that allows supporters to sponsor players who could use some help. If you would like to know more about sponsoring a player's dues, plane ticket, or other costs (all tax deductable donations), please e-mail Monie at rprieto1@mail.csuchico.edu.
