Academics at Chico State is more about growing up than anything else.  What recruiters look for and find at Chico State are adults who are professional, responsible, and resourceful.

Chico State demands resourcefulness from day one.  Students who have had to deal with TRACS know that just getting classes can become a career in itself.  Of course, getting the right classes is no guarantee of passing them.  Stress really sets in when students discover that by some conspiracy all five ten-page papers are due on the same day.

Naturally, getting the chance to sweat bullets writing papers and studying for midterms doesn't come cheap. Students who must work face a tiresome regimen of coursework and low-wage toil.  Those who rely on a parental “scholarship” or financial aid aren't exactly living on Easy Street either.  Students whose parents are banking on immediate postgraduate success may find sleeping difficult as graduation draws near.  And then there are always those student loans to pay back…

With all the pressure that goes along with being in college, possibly the most difficult task students must face while at Chico State is learning individually who they are, what they stand for, and what they can do.

When push comes to shove, when things seem about to fall apart, Chico State students come through.  That is why Chico State is considered a reputable university and is able to offer job-recruiters professional men and women.
