While students come to Chico State to get an education, it is sometimes necessary to get away from the stress of studying and to take their minds off mid-terms. When it comes to finding a place to have fun, Chico is number one! The town offers so much­it is impossible for anyone to be bored.

Students who are into having a couple of drinks to help them unwind can head downtown where there are a multitude of taverns from which to choose. LaSalles offers local bands and Brickworks is a great place for those looking for a little dancing action. For those wanting to play pool, Team Players and the Graduate would be the optimum destinations. For those preferring a hot one to a cold one, there are cafés on practically every corner where one can get "amped" on a mocha, latté, or espresso.

Some students in the mood for a different kind of excitement can check out the latest from Hollywood at the El Rey, the Senator, or Movies Ten. AS. Programming is always presenting interesting guests and concerts at very reasonable prices. Dinner is a necessity and Chico offers a variety of excellent restaurants, from burgers and fries to steak and lobster. Some prefer to stay home, rent a movie from Ray's, and relax in front of the tube. Whatever one's mood, Chico can accommodate it. Face it, nobody wants to hang out in the library all the time!
