The Pacific Islander's Club comprise a diverse mix of Chico State University students who come from the islands of Palau, Pohnpei, Chuuk, Samoa, Hawaii, Tonga, Philippines, Saipan, Guam and the Marshall Islands put's on this yearly event. Since the cultures vary widely, this spring event displays and, at times, merges the dance music and foods of these island people. Some of the dances of their islands are ancient and rarely performed in the United States. The event also includes a Pacific Luau Buffet with items such as a roast pig and coconut milk.
