Events

Students occasionally need a break from their books. Chico State offers a myriad of diverse activities to suit everyone's tastes.  Many students enjoy campus events such as AS. Programming's Rose Garden Concerts that oftentimes feature some of Chico's local artists.  AS. Programming plans some of Chico's more outstanding events­concerts, speakers, movies, and comedy nights.  And hypnotist Chuck Milligan is always a favorite of Chico State students!

University Public Events sponsors stimulating performing arts, including plays, musical performances, symphonies, dance performances from all over the world, vocal concerts, and art exhibits.  For more information about past or upcoming performances, visit their web site at www.csuchico.edu/hfa/chicoarts.html.

On a more casual note, AS. Adventure Outings presents outrageous Warren Miller ski films, films from the Banff Film Festival, and speakers who relive for audiences their various outdoor adventures, accompanied by slides or videotapes.

A variety of annual, cultural, and special events are also presented by the University, the Associated Students, and various student organizations.  These include the Fun Without Alcohol Fair, Multicultural Night, Day on the Green, Cinco de Mayo, Earth Day, Greek Week, Ag Day, and International Festival to name a few.

And, just about any day of the week, students can find something going on in the Free Speech Area. There is never a reason for any Chico State student to be bored!
