During summers, I have been lucky enough to be invited to help with courses taught in Marine Invertebrate Zoology offered by the University of Virginia and on several occasions by the Biology Department here at CSU, Chico. These courses are taught on location at an island field station which was once an American naval base. This is the same island Columbus bumped into on his way to the Indies.
