The warriors and soldiers in this time period are known to have been sword-bearing infantry. The warriors were strictly disciplined and had to follow strict moral codes. To have discipline was to have honor. With honor, one received fame and dignity which in turn gave power and authority.

A good example of the warrior culture can be found between the periods of the 7th Century to about the time of the 15th Century. Many warriors were fearless and were ready to die for their lords in battle. The arts of the sword and the numerous disciplined warriors were the only ingredients to a formula for success in conquering and extending territorial boundaries.
