Southeast Asia is such a large and culturally diverse area it is hard to classify it as one place. Since all of the countries of Southeast Asia are so close together there are many similarities in the foods.  Some dishes have become common to all of the countries in the region particularly those of Chinese and Indian descent.  Of the several coutries in Southeast Asia there were not very many websites that contained information on distinct food types.  I have tried to represent all of the larger countries in my links.
