Spring Semesters 

This course will:
 

-- emphasize information from several different biological disciplines, such as morphology, physiology, behavior, and ecology, to gain an understanding of amphibians and reptiles and the roles they play in modern ecosystems.

-- incorporate recent research from the published literature from all areas of herpetology
 
-- provide a basic understanding of field techniques useful in conducting population studies

**Note: Many of the laboratories will be spent in the field. Also planned are two to three weekend field trips.
