  • Cosmopolitan - decaying debris, vegetation, soil, dung and running or stagnant waters. (Huges 1959 pg 5-20)
  • Aquatic taxa are most abundant in rocky riffles and streams (Thorp, 1991 pg.523)

DISTRIBUTION:

  • Worldwide (Huges 1959 pg 5-20) The aquatic mite is represented by over 5000 species worldwide. (Thorp, 1991 pg. 524)
