CSU, Chico Policies
| |
The students, faculty, and staff of California State University, Chico (CSU,
Chico) are committed to a campus culture that fosters excellence in learning.
Excellence in learning can only take place in an environment based on academic
integrity and honesty. The long-term value of a degree from CSU, Chico depends
on all members of the campus community participating actively in the creation
and maintenance of a campus culture that cherishes such academic honesty and
integrity. -- excerpted
from Executive Memorandum 04-36, Policy on Academic Integrity and the
Establishment of the Council for Promoting Academic Integrity. |
|
As a faculty member I have a responsibility to foster academic honesty and
integrity here at CSU, Chico and I take this responsibility very seriously; accordingly, all of my courses follow university
guidelines related to academic honesty. In part, these guidelines state:
| |
If a student is thought to be cheating and charges are brought, the process
can result in severe consequences, ranging from failure in an individual course
to long-term suspension from the university and denial of a degree.
-- excerpted from the CSU, Chico 2007-2009 Course Catalog, p. 621.
