This is a well-written paper, but it tries too hard
(in my opinion) to make Dahl out as victim of PC police. Instead, we might
look at ways that the Oompa Loompas (and their depiction) could be read
as symptomatic of the workings of industrialism and/or capitalism as they
manifest in children's literature. This could compare interestingly with
similar motifs in Baum's
Wizard of Oz
