Classes
I have retired from teaching regular classes and am presently working as Field Director of the Big Chico Creek Ecological Reserve.
Aquatic ecology, especially community ecology of streams and lakes. Most recently, I have been studying small permanent and intermittent tributaries to the Sacramento River in an attempt to understand population dynamics of fish and their food organisms in these systems.
I have been actively involved in fisheries andriparian restoration, working with technical teams and task forces for designing resource management plans and a citizen's guide to stream management. I am engaged in community education projects, including creek life displays for earth day and development of an on-site nature study area at Hooker Oak Elementary School.
