Brown Trout Results
Brown trout were not common at either site in the 1980's and were not observed at the Upper Bidwell site prior to 1991. They increased in numbers at both sites during the dry years from 1991 to 1994 but seem to be having little or no reproductive success in recent years. Since browns are fall spawners, high January flows tend to reduce or eliminate fry survival.
