University Catalog Description
The purpose of this course is to provide the students with the following: a. an understanding of aphasia, b. an understanding of closed head injury c. an understanding of the effects of right hemisphere lesions, d. the ability to administer and interpret a diagnostic aphasia/cognitive examination, e. the ability to rehabilitate (when prognosis warrants) language and cognitive functions in patients who have incurred cerebral insult
1. Three hourly examinations.
2. A completed diagnostic test battery for aphasia/cognition.
3. Assigned readings.
