La Porte Cemetery Database
The cemetery is located in the small town of La Porte, California. The town was originally called Rabbit Creek and was part of Yuba County; then part of Sierra County. Finally in 1854 it became part of Plumas County. In addition, there are nearby cemeteries/grave sites of Secret Diggings, Gibsonville, Whiskey Diggings, Port Wine, Flume Camp, Saint Louis, Pine Grove, and Howland Flat.
