Advising Intern
Ashley is a first-generation college student majoring in English Education and Intersectional Chicanx/Latinx Studies. As an Advising Intern, she wants students to know that she is excited to be a source of guidance and motivation for all students on campus. Ashley knows from personal experience how difficult the transition from home to a university environment can be and hopes to spread her knowledge and encouragement towards students like herself. Along with her interest in English, Ashley is intrigued by the interdisciplinary field of the U.S. Latinx communities in all their diversity and hopes to incorporate her passion for helping others into a teaching career. Ashley is from Bakersfield, CA, where she enjoyed spending time with her family. In her free time, she loves roller skating, reading, going out to eat with friends, spending time in nature, and listening to music.
