Katie graduated with a B.A. in Communication Studies from Sacramento State in 2009. She also holds a M.S. in Human Resources from Drexel University where her research focus was Employee Engagement. Before joining Chico State in 2022, Katie had a 17 year career in financial services. For the last 10 years, she served in various leadership positions including Assistant Vice President at a major bank where she led large scale efforts with a constant focus on employee value and development. She uses this leadership experience to identify opportunities for equitable student success and to create actionable and highly successful data-driven plans to grow the success of the institution. Katie is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ Faculty and Staff Association and enjoys all that Chico State has to offer.
