Reinstatement to the University

Disqualified students are eligible for admission and enrollment one academic year (two complete semesters) following their disqualification.

Your appeal will be reviewed by the academic status committee for your intended major. Committee members look for clear evidence that you have resolved the problems which led to your academic difficulty.

To return to Chico State:

Submit University Admissions Application for intended term of return.

Submit appeal via Reinstatement Appeal Portal. All documentation must be submitted concurrently and include the following:
- Appeal Letter
  - Reinstatement Strategies and Appeal Letter Format (PDF)
- Transcripts for coursework completed outside of Chico State since disqualification (if applicable).
- Work-In-Progress forms for current term (if applicable).
  - Work in Progress Form (PDF)
