Wheelchair accessible seating is provided for all shows and can be reserved through online booking, in-person visits, or phone orders. This seating ensures that patrons can enjoy the performance while remaining in the comfort of their wheelchairs. Furthermore, we offer several transfer-accessible aisle seats for guests who use wheelchairs and prefer to sit in a standard theater seat. Due to the historic nature of Laxson Auditorium, elevator access to the second floor is not available.

Accessible parking is available in close proximity to Laxson Auditorium to ensure convenient access for patrons with disabilities.
Accessible Parking Spaces are located in the University's General Parking Lots 1 and 2, both within a short distance of the auditorium. A valid DMV-issued disabled person (DP) placard or license plate is required to park in these designated spaces.
Drop-Off Location: A designated accessible drop-off zone is located in front of the auditorium at the intersection of West 1st Street and Salem Street. A second accessible drop-off area is available where Normal Avenue and West 2nd Street meet the campus. Both locations offer curbside access for patrons using mobility devices or those who may need additional time to enter the venue.
Path of Travel: All routes from the accessible parking areas and drop-off zone to the main entrance are wheelchair accessible.
For the most convenient experience, we recommend arriving early, as accessible spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Requests for American Sign Language interpretation are welcome for any performance hosted. To ensure proper arrangements are made, please make these requests at least one month before the event. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate last-minute requests.

Service animals are welcome at all campus venues. Service animals are those that fall under the categories defined in titles II and III of the ADA and are individually trained to perform tasks directly related to a person's disability. It's important to note that animals whose primary role is to provide comfort or emotional support no longer meet the criteria for service animals as per the ADA. For additional information, please visit www.ada.gov.

Controlling the temperature in a large building with many people can be challenging, as the presence of a crowd tends to raise the air temperature. If you find the space cool when you first enter, expect it to warm up quickly as the theater fills. If the temperature becomes uncomfortable, whether too warm or too cool, please let an usher know so they can inform the staff.
