May 7, 2025 - Search Launched for Vice President for University Advancement

Dear Campus Community,

I’m excited to announce the launch of the search for Chico State’s next vice president for University Advancement. I met with the campus search committee in April and have asked the committee members to work expeditiously through the process in order to bring finalists to campus in late August and have a new vice president identified before the end of September.  

This position manages advancement, which has recently raised over $21M per year. The vice president also serves as CEO of the University Foundation that invests our $100M endowment, leads marketing efforts that add to our ability to recruit students and enhance the recognition of our University, alumni relations, and government relations. The University has contracted with the firm Isaacson, Miller to support the committee in this recruitment.   

I would like to thank our colleagues who will serve on the search committee. They are: David Alexander, Tiffani Anderson, Dustin Bush, Leslie Cornick, Ashley Gebb, Nicol Gray, student Gia Monticello, Jessica Harrington, Rachel McBride-Praetorius, Jennifer Meadows, Megan Odom, Tawnie Peterson, Doris Schartmueller, Sheryl Woodward, and Jinsong Zhang (chair). They will be joined by three representatives from the University Foundation Board of Governors: Cathy Pleasant, Darryl Schoen, and Dave Scotto. I appreciate the careful consideration and time they will invest throughout the process.
