November 15, 2024 – Chico State, We are Making Good Progress!

Dear Campus Community,

We are nearing the end of the fall semester and change is in the air at Chico State. We are experiencing positive momentum with our three major university-wide initiatives: strategic planning (Chico State Playbook), the employee engagement survey and working groups, and the Community Agreements. I want to take a moment to describe how I envision our three primary initiatives working together once complete. Please watch this video, take a look at this website, and, if you haven’t already, consider getting involved. As a campus, we are committed to continuing to improve employee and student experiences and enhance our sense of belonging and connection.

Regarding the employee engagement effort, now is the time to express an interest in joining a working group. Use the Employee Engagement Interest Form and select from our areas of focus at the University level: Confidence in Senior Leadership, Mission and Price, Onboarding, Performance Management, and Supervisor/Department Chair Effectiveness.

I am grateful to the committee members who are leading these efforts and to all of you who have provided feedback and shared ideas. It is a campus-wide effort and I’m asking all of you to join me on this journey.
