December 4, 2025 - Celebrating the University Farm

Dear colleagues,

I am thrilled so many of you could join us on a beautiful October morning at the University Farm to celebrate the grand opening of our Agricultural Education Center and the Jay Gilbert Farm Store. 

We hope you’ll enjoy this short video capturing this special day. The event was a true testament to the students, faculty, alumni, and partners who make our University Farm a living laboratory for innovation. From experimenting with new and sustainable techniques to raising crops and livestock to running the farm store and greeting customers, our students are getting the full farm-to-table experience and having a lot of fun along the way.

Thanks to Jay Gilbert and our many generous supporters, the Agricultural Education Center will keep that energy growing. It’s a place where ideas will take root, partnerships will flourish, and the next generation of ag leaders will discover just how far their Chico State experience can take them.

Whether you were there for our grand opening or have been able to stop by recently for some fresh produce, prime steaks, or other local products, I hope the Farm Store is a place you return to again and again. Maybe I’ll see you there!
