Canvas Outcomes

Canvas is not just a platform for teaching — it is also a powerful tool for gathering meaningful assessment data. By connecting OutcomesRubrics, and Assignments, Chico State faculty can efficiently capture evidence of student learning directly from course activities. This integrated approach supports reflection, continuous improvement, and our shared commitment to student success.

Canvas data (outcomes, rubrics, assignments) flows to dashboards

Our campus is in the very early stages of using Canvas Outcomes in our program assessment processes (left side of the image above). We are working collaboratively with the ultimate goal of integrating Canvas Outcomes in our program quality assurance efforts.

Our team brings together expertise in assessment, instructional design, and educational technology to align course-level learning activities with program-level outcomes. Together, we are committed to building a sustainable, data-informed approach to supporting continuous improvement and student success at Chico State.
