Undergraduate Education and Academic Success (UED) advances equitable student success through curricular and co-curricular programs that attract students from diverse backgrounds and help them excel academically, build community, and launch life-long journeys of personal, intellectual, and civic discovery.

UED, a hub of campus innovation and collaboration, leads the Chico State community in continuously improving the way we educate students for purpose and success in the contemporary world.

    First-Year Experience

    First-Year Experience (FYE) connects first-year and transfer students with supportive courses and faculty to build a strong academic foundation and ensure a successful transition to Chico State.

    REACH Student Success Center

    First year students are provided with all the resources they need as an incoming freshman including monthly social events, access to a dedicated support network and personalized guidance.

Innovating for Student Success

Undergraduate Education’s programs span the student experience from high school outreach to meaningful first-year learning in and outside the classroom to faculty-mentored research and opportunities for professional development through peer mentoring, public event planning, and community-engaged educational research.

Driven by leading-edge learning theory, the collaborative professionals of Undergraduate Education work in partnership with faculty and staff across campus to design and support student-centered curricular and co-curricular innovation.

    Assessment and Program Review

    The Office of Assessment and Program Review advances student learning and institutional effectiveness by partnering with faculty and campus leaders to design meaningful assessment practices, foster continuous improvement, and ensure transparency, accountability, and academic excellence.
