From humble beginnings as the Center for Economic Development and Geographic Information Center, the North State Planning and Development Collective, commonly referred to as “The Collective”, has grown into a multi-faceted and highly respected organization. We work with and across the University’s 12-County service region to ensure the North State’s economic vitality and support students on their career path.

Supporting Student Success
The Collective offers career-advancing paid internship opportunities for our students here at Chico State. From real-time geopgraphic information systems (GIS) mapping projects to assisting with business feasibility studies and more, we are committed to fostering a learning environment that prepares students for the next step in their employment journey.
